 OrganizingHelp us organize the industrial shops (July 2007) By Dave De Sousa, Organizer The single most effective asset our union has available to organize new employers and recruit new members is our current members. Organizing is a word-of-mouth business. Information and encouragement from one worker to another is a very effective way to build our union and make it even better. If you are aware of any equipment operators who are not working with us, do them a favor by encouraging them to register with our dispatcher. Our Local Union is privileged to have collective agreements with the finest contractors who remain busy and are in need of talented and experienced people. We are also always interested in organizing industrial shops.
