Variety Club TelethonDespite the financial challenges of 2009, the Local 115 Executive Board felt it must continue to
support charities close to home. The board again authorized the local union's annual donation of
$10,000 to Variety, the Children’s Charity.
Brothers Gary Kroeker, Lionel Railton and Brian Cochrane presented the donation in person at the
Variety telethon on Jan. 31. Railton assisted the telethon by taking donations over the phone
that same morning.
In addition to this donation, Local 115 members contribute time and money to a host of worthy causes
in their own communities around the province. Collectively, we help to keep our communities healthy
and livable. To all who donate time and resources, thank you!
